Captain Ian Parker
Owner, operator and the person you will actually fish with. Ian is a Hilton Head native who has spent his life on Lowcountry water.
Captain Ian Parker owns and operates Southern Hook Fishing Charters. Born and raised on Hilton Head Island, he has spent his life fishing the waters of the Lowcountry, and he runs every charter himself.
Ian grew up on this island and learned to fish here, picking up knowledge over the years from many of the best captains the Lowcountry has to offer. That background shows up in the small decisions that make a trip: which spot to try on a given tide, when to move, and how to put guests on fish rather than just taking them for a boat ride.
He has fished widely beyond Hilton Head as well, and he brings that experience back to the home water where he knows the seasons, the structure and the movements of the fish.

Because Southern Hook is owner-operated and private, the day is built around your group. Ian welcomes brand-new anglers and experienced ones alike. First time holding a rod? He will teach as you go and make sure the kids get in on the action. Chasing a personal best? He will put you where the fish are and let you work.
The goal he sets for every trip is simple: a safe, comfortable and memorable day on the water, with real fishing in front of you.
